In an open RFQ/RFP process, Sares Regis won the opportunity to develop the Hayward City Hall and surrounding Civic Center mixed-use project. Phase 1 of this project included complete development management services under the structure of a public/private partnership with the City of Hayward to construct their City Hall. The structure was designed, constructed and occupied in 18 months and included green building practices and a seismic base isolation system. Phase 2 included commercial and retail space and a subterranean parking garage.
